Can anyone other than me do the translation and sign the document stating that they are a "Certified Translator"? How do I get this done?
The U.S. Immigration, Department of Homeland Security, Universities,Schools, only accept a translation that is certified by a certified translator. Usually comes on a company letter head, signature, and a seal. Do not waste your time trying to submit a translated document and not being certified.
 
1.) Where can I notarize a document?
 
You can notarize your document at any notary public. If you cannot find a notary public, start by visiting your local bank. They usually have notary public in the branch. The good part of it is that if you have an account with them, the notary is free!
 
2.) Are you a notary public?
 
No. We are a translation agency that focus on providing certified translations from Portuguese to English. In fact, there is no indication that the USINS, Department of Homeland Security does not require to notarize the translation. They do require certification.

Such certification must include a statement that the translator is competent to translate the document, and that the translation is true and accurate to the best of the
